Jurassic Pixel Giga and Theri Update

Around 22 August 2025, Jurassic Pixel added two shop animals that still define a lot of public-server fights: Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus. Community videos from that week, including ones titled as a Giga and Theri update, are how this wiki dates the drop. The game has not published a numbered patch string we can quote, so this page uses the video window rather than a fake v-number.

Jurassic Pixel launched on 18 March 2025. It is free, online, and capped at 50 players per server, with no split-screen. These two bodies did not replace Spinosaurus or T-Rex. They added a land dash apex and a glass puncture herbivore to the same DNA economy. Read the carnivore roster and the herbivore roster for the full sheets. Ranked adults live on the PvP tier list.

Giganotosaurus

The shop does not list a clean Giga price. Community quotes sit around 5,000 DNA. Treat that as a community figure, not an official patch number. If the live tile still shows a blank or a different tag, believe the client over chat.

Combat sheet this wiki will quote: 2,300 HP, 260 damage, 25 armor, run 28, gain 10, 60 m. The kit is a triple dash that costs 0 stamina. That is the whole animal. You close on a wounded T-Rex, you leave a bad Triceratops trade, or you third-party a lake fight without dumping yellow. If you cannot land the dash, you are a slow 2,300 HP target with 260 damage — less bite than Rex (360) and less execute than Spino.

Matchup notes, not a ranked sermon:

• Versus Spinosaurus (3,250 DNA, 2,200 HP, 270 damage, 25 armor, run 33, neck snap under 400 HP): Spino still owns water and the execute. Giga wants dry ground and a dash angle. Do not marathon-swim a Spino.
• Versus T-Rex (3,250 DNA, 2,000 HP, 360 damage, 10 armor, run 35, slam): Rex hits harder. Giga is tankier (2,300 vs 2,000) and has more armor (25 vs 10). Missed slam is the dash window. Missed dash is the slam window.
• Versus Therizinosaurus: Giga can eat a puncture if the dash is already committed. Do not stand still and admire claws.

Hypo Giga is the named look people hunt. It is a skin, not a second stat sheet. Window notes sit on the skins log. No codes grant Giga as of September 2026.

Therizinosaurus

Theri is a 3,000 DNA shop animal. Stats: 1,500 HP, 250 damage, 5 armor, run 30, gain 10, 60 m. The puncture lands around 1,000 at age 100. That is a first-hit burst, not a farm plan. You are glass. Ankylosaurus at 120 armor laughs at chip that shreds you. Brachiosaurus at 7,000 DNA still prints more DNA because it lives.

Triceratops counters Theri. Same 3,000 DNA shelf, 2,400 HP, 280 damage, 30 armor, run 25, and a charge. Face the claws. Do not show flank. If you can only buy one 3,000 DNA body, buy Trike unless you already have a wallet and you specifically want puncture duels. The herbivore roster parks Theri as a skill pick and Trike as the hinge.

Theri versus the 3,250 carnivores is a timing test. Spino execute under 400 HP ends a lost puncture trade. Rex slam plus 360 damage ends it faster if the slam lands. Theri wins when the first puncture is free and the target cannot charge through it. Theri loses extended fights, packs, and anything that holds armor.

What to buy after this drop

Spend DNA in this order unless you already own a farmer:

1. Stay on Gallimimus or Triceratops until the wallet exists. Carnivore gain is worse. Peak Brachiosaurus still sits near 6,000 DNA per hour with both DNA gamepasses stacked on base gain.
2. At 3,000 DNA, Trike over Theri for almost every public 50-player server.
3. At 3,250 DNA, Spino over Rex for messy KOS lakes, Rex if you want slam and skins.
4. Giga when you can stomach an unlisted community price around 5,000 DNA and you want dash closes on land.

Later teasers such as D-Rex are not a reason to skip this shop pair. D-Rex is a tracker, not a live replacement for Giga. Mid-tier HP buffs mentioned in later news videos do not rewrite the sheets above until we can date the deltas. Confirm live numbers in Discord if a tile looks different.

If you just spawned, Getting Started still starts on a free animal. This update is a mid-wallet problem. Grow first, then dash.
