Jurassic Pixel Controls
PC, mobile, controller, and Chromebook binds, plus the ability list this wiki will actually quote.
Jurassic Pixel is easy to move and easy to drown in. This page is the device map and the ability list. Use How to Play for fight-or-flee and Getting Started for the first spawn. Buttons below are the ones this wiki has confirmed. If a bind is not listed, we will not invent it.
The game is free on Roblox, released 18 March 2025 by developers made of pocket change. Play is online on 50-player servers with no split-screen and no local co-op. The same dinosaurs run on PC, mobile, console, Chromebook, and laptop. The HUD is the same. The drowning complaints are not.
PC
- WASD — walk. Sprint spends the yellow stamina bar.
- Left mouse button — bite / primary attack.
- F — class ability for most dinosaurs.
- Hold Space — variant abilities. The confirmed example is Ceratosaurus chuff, which jumps armor from 20 to 52. Cera is the hold-Space name this wiki will quote.
Eat, drink, and swim-up are on-screen or context actions in the Roblox UI. Laptop players report swim-up as the most common drowning problem: you enter water, miss the surface input, and a baby Gallimimus or Velociraptor dies. Practice in a quiet pond. We will not invent a second swim key.
Mobile, Chromebook, and controller
Mobile uses on-screen buttons for walk, bite, eat, drink, and ability. Auto-drink (and auto-eat): hold the eat or drink button, then drag your finger off the button. The action keeps running. Park a Brachiosaurus on a private server with that hold and the bar stays up while DNA ticks. A full public will still kill an AFK farmer.
Chromebook: a prompt asks whether you want extra on-screen buttons. Click No. Clicking Yes hides or breaks the controls you need. If eat, drink, and ability never appear, rejoin and click No again. That prompt is the usual Chromebook report in the official Discord.
Controller: abilities sit on RB/R1 and Y/triangle. This wiki will not invent extra face-button maps. If your layout differs, check Roblox’s own controller overlay. Movement is the left stick. Sprint still spends yellow stamina.
Same 50-player servers on every device. Pack by joining the Roblox experience together, not by splitting a screen.
HUD bars
- Health — the obvious bar. 250 on the free starters. 8,100 on adult Brachiosaurus. Armor is a separate Defense number.
- Attack / Defense / Speed — sheet stats. Speed is why Gallimimus at run 63 leaves fights that Ankylosaurus at run 14 has to win in place.
- Yellow stamina — sprint, chase, swim burst, and many abilities. Empty yellow in the open is a death sentence for 250 HP animals. Giganotosaurus triple dash is the exception: that dash costs 0 stamina.
- Red bleed — delayed damage from teeth and claws. Armor reduces how much sticks. Gallimimus at 0 armor keeps the red. Anky at 120 armor often ignores chip that shreds Therizinosaurus at 5 armor.
- Blue bar — players ask whether this is thirst or oxygen. This wiki will not invent a confirmed name. Drink when you pass water. Surface when you have been under too long. If the blue bar is dropping in a lake, leave unless you are Spinosaurus or Deinosuchus and you want to be there.
Age scales combat and the DNA tick. Details are on How to Grind DNA. No codes fill those bars as of September 2026.
Ability list by dinosaur
Press F (or the mobile ability button, or RB/R1 / Y/triangle) unless a hold-Space variant is named. This list is what the button does.
Carnivores (stats on the carnivore roster):
- Velociraptor (free) — latch. Pack tool. Solo latch onto an adult is a donation.
- Ceratosaurus (700 DNA) — chuff on hold-Space. Armor 20 at rest, 52 while chuffing.
- Carnotaurus (700 DNA) — charge. Novel camo is a skin, not a second ability.
- T-Rex (3,250 DNA) — slam. Skins do not change the slam.
- Spinosaurus (3,250 DNA) — neck snap execute if the target is under 400 HP. Strong in water.
- Giganotosaurus (shop cost unlisted; community about 5,000, not official) — triple dash at 0 stamina.
- Deinosuchus (cost blank) — deathroll. Not the 4,500 DNA herbivore.
- Mosasaurus — removed (was 10,000 DNA). No ability to learn.
Herbivores (stats on the herbivore roster):
- Gallimimus (free, omnivore) — kick plus jump. Create space. You do not duel apexes.
- Parasaurolophus (1,000 DNA) — sing that heals other Paras.
- Stegosaurus (2,250 DNA) — tail whip.
- Ankylosaurus (2,750 DNA) — beyblade tail spin. You turn, you spin, people bounce.
- Triceratops (3,000 DNA) — charge. This is the Therizinosaurus answer.
- Therizinosaurus (3,000 DNA) — puncture around 1,000 at age 100. Glass. Dropped with Giga around 22 August 2025; see Giga and Theri.
- Deinocheirus (4,500 DNA) — slam. 4,500 is this herbivore, not Deinosuchus.
- Brachiosaurus (7,000 DNA) — stomp. Farm animal.
Limited hybrids (see hybrids and How to Get Indominus):
- Indominus Rex (Albino Terror) — camouflage and drag slam. Last listed near 300,000 DNA, often offsale.
- Indoraptor (Pitch Black Reaper) — 3-second ghost invisibility, run 52. Same DNA tag, often offsale.
- Ultimasaurus — not a shop buy.
- D-Rex — teased (throw ability leak). No confirmed DNA price and no confirmed bind. Track D-Rex news.
Practice abilities on a private or tiny server. Public KOS punishes a missed slam. How to Survive covers when not to press F. Ranked kits live on the PvP tier list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the PC ability key in Jurassic Pixel?
F for most class abilities. Hold-Space is the confirmed Ceratosaurus chuff variant. Device notes for mobile and controller stay on this controls page.
Why are my Chromebook buttons missing after the extra prompt?
Click No on the extra-buttons prompt, then rejoin if the UI is still empty. First-hour setup is also in Getting Started.
How do I auto-drink on mobile?
Hold eat or drink, then drag your finger off the button so the action keeps running. Use it on a parked farmer; the DNA loop is on How to Grind DNA.
What does the blue HUD bar mean?
Players ask if it is thirst or oxygen. This wiki does not invent a confirmed name. Drink on the shoreline and surface if you have been under too long. Combat HUD reading continues in How to Play.
